After reading health warnings before departing, it seemed poultry cuddling was out for the Southeast Asia leg of the trip. Not to mention dogs and cats. So, of course, on the second day of the trip, I was presented with the most tempting animal snuggling scenario ever. There was a pile of three adorable kittens snuggling one another outside our doorstep. The kittens kept mewling pathetically for our attention, day and night. One of them followed us up and down flights of stairs, self-petting himself on our shoes. All this culminated in one of the kittens trying to squeeze under our door to see us and getting his head stuck under in the process – l had to help him out with a towel. Jason thought it resembled a kitten version of Night of the Living Dead. Somehow, through it all, kitten snuggling was averted.
