On our second day on the Mekong, we took a smaller boat, helmed by a sweet older woman; I think her son was running the motor in the back.
We saw a couple more markets.
We also saw a banana flower and learned about banana flower soup.
These are rice pancakes drying in the sun — all these were made that morning in just several hours.
That’s not a pettin’ dog, that’s an eatin’ dog!
No poultry snuggling!
We tried our hand at crossing a "monkey bridge."
And we saw a very old garden that once belonged to a wealthy resident.
Lots of women rowing canoes passed us by.
My pettin’ dog totally feels sorry for that eatin’ dog.
Hi, congratulations guys, you have a nice web page. Did you visit Lima? The Peruvian gastronomy is the best of the American continent!

Hi Calulo,
Thank you for the compliment!
Yes, we made it to Lima. And yes, Peruvian food was some of our favorite of the whole trip. Really great. We especially loved causa and aji de gallina.
Best,
Summer
