He: 30-something bohemian with Neil Diamond hairstyle, large piercings made from bone, purple and black leopard print flare pants, and some kind of vest.
She: 20-something dressed in flowing gauzy white skirt and tunic, and dreadlocks topped with Jamiroquai hat.
He: "I was trying to stay focused on the mandala... Spinning, spinning, spinning. This rush of euphoria entered the crown of my head, and shimmered through my chakras. I saw all these Egyptian symbols; ahnks, scarabs, udjats; spiraling through the cosmos, and down to my tailbone. It was like descending from a lotus flower."
She: "..."
He: "So you said you did a little pole dancing?"

We ARE having fun. It's a great trip, and I think we're learning a lot. It's great to compare and contrast as we travel to neighboring countries, and to realize how rich and diverse the whole region is.
I plan to take a surf lesson in Australia btw.
We're planning to come back in September. And of course I'll keep you updated on our South America plan; still think you might come see us?

FYI ... i got a fulltime job! ... more in a private email ... but that might be a glitch in the whole travel plans, as i don't want to appear like the itinerant surfergril. BALI IS A SURF MECCA --- so i'd say start your surf lesson in bali, seriously sweetie. by the way you and jason are looking frickin' adorable !!! i can sure tell that happiness lurks somewhere between you and your sweat-soaked shirts. haha. okay that was gross. love you !!!
